Language identification FAQ

How much text should I paste?

A full sentence is best. Very short words, names, or numbers often belong to several languages and produce lower confidence.

Can it detect mixed-language text?

It identifies the dominant language and may mention other likely languages when the input is mixed.

Can it identify spoken audio?

Audio language detection is planned but is not enabled in this release. The current tool analyzes pasted text.
